Our client is a leading luxury beauty & cosmetics brand dedicated to delivering exceptional products and experiences with a commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability that has positioned them as a trusted name in the beauty industry. They are seeking a Director of Project Management Office to lead project management efforts across the enterprise, ensuring that key deliverables, milestones, and initiatives are met on time and within scope.
This role is based out of their Culver City, CA office and has a “hybrid” model, of work both in office, as well as from home / remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead stage gate process - Enterprise-wide project management and calendaring, ensuring deliverables and milestones are met in accordance to each project
- Lead new launch development cross-functional teams, including all periodic meetings and documentation.
- Own and maintain all new launch timelines to ensure project milestones are met, including meeting actions, approvals, key decisions, risks and escalations.
- Initiate and lead cross company initiatives, including all periodic meetings and documentation for product maintenance / regulatory change, customer acquisition plus margin improvement projects.
- Seek areas of opportunity for process development and improvement across the cross functional team, implementing tools and training to ensure proper roll out.
- Lead PMO tool selection / management, templates, and meeting agendas to ensure each project is clearly communicated, timelines are tracked, and that risks are clearly visible and communicated.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of professional experience managing complex projects with multiple inter-dependencies with experience leading a team of project managers.
- Previous experience working for a beauty brand and/or cosmetics category is a plus, but not required.
- Previous experience working within a PMO, or as a business project lead
- Possess outstanding interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and willingness to share ideas with individuals at all levels.
- Demonstrated skill working with cross-functional project teams with overlapping dependencies and experience managing and escalating risk, for actionable results.
- Highly organized and results driven, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work with a wide range of internal and external partners
- Must enjoy working in a fluid and fast paced environment and be a master of multi-tasking
- PC proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
- Familiarity with a project management tool (MS Project) or a collaboration tool (Microsoft Teams)
- Willingness to take the initiative to resolve adversarial relationships; both internally and externally
- Ability to present clear, timely and actionable status updates to leadership teams
