The Job:
FCI is in search of a Senior Credit Collections Coordinator to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer credit and collection activities, including preparation and maintenance of accurate records through documentation of all customer interactions and payment arrangements. In addition, your day-to-day duties are expanded into submitting credit memos, adjustments and refunds for approval and ensuring all transactions are following company policies and accounting principles.

What You’ll Do:
- Pull credit reports and coordinate collection of trade references and other data, to analyze credit worthiness of customers.
- Recommend alternatives (e.g., joint check agreement, guarantees, letter of credit, cash in advance) when an open account cannot be granted.
- Collect aged receivables.
- Follow established guidelines to perform all communication for follow-up and collection of past-due accounts.
- Perform research and collect information to analyze obstacles during payment and suggest possible resolution alternatives
- Ensure the Company has all appropriate Sales Tax exemption certificates on file
- Maintain customer sales tax database to facilitate accurate sales tax reporting.

- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities related to products, process, and quality system

What You’ll Need:
- Minimum3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or Senior Accounts Receivable Clerk
- 3-5 years of credit and collections experience.
- A two-year accounting degree is preferred, but not required
- Experience with computer-based accounting applications, and MS Office
- Must have strong research and analytical skills, and the ability to routinely take the initiative to resolve disagreements and correct errors
- Ability to read and understand sales, shipping, and billing documents
- Thorough, careful, conscientious and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail, especially in the area of reconciliation of invoices to open A/R.
- A manufacturing background, with international experience preferable, but not required
Physical/Travel Requirements
This position requires sitting for extended periods of time as well as extensive computer usage. This position requires limited bending, walking, standing, and lifting.
