Role purpose
• Primary responsibility will be to setup and expand the business of Medicilon in the USA.
• Ensure revenue and profitability targets are met by capturing business from new and repeat clients.
• Establish, manage and grow relationships with clients, achieve and maintain client satisfaction in order to meet/increase revenues. Have thorough knowledge of Medicilon bid process and services.
Responsibilities
• Develop proposals (RFPs) with cost estimates, contribute to contracts (proposals, CDAs, NDAs, MSAs) and contract amendments.
• Find leads, close deals to achieve personal quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Analyze the US business market and provide market analysis report to provide accurate market basis for company decisions.
• Submit all data related to the marketing activities as required by the company from time to time.
• Understand existing customer’s or potential customer’s business, pipeline, and opportunities in order to approach customer with confidence and knowledge.
• Build relationships within the customer’s organization to gain trust and generate new business opportunities to develop a partnership atmosphere.
• Build and expand a business reference network to help grow and develop new business opportunities.
• Develop thorough knowledge of Medicilon services and bid process.
• Assure that bids meet customer’s expectations and specific requirements.
• Maintain communications with customers regarding ongoing projects to ensure customer’s expectations are being met after each sale.
• Modify company bid preparation template and boilerplate text to meet changing client needs or specific requirements.
• Review project reports and provide critical review to improve content.
• Regularly attend trade shows, conferences, and other events, and also setup exhibit booths and identify branding opportunities that result in direct sales opportunities and other
benefits for the company.
• Work both independently and in a team environment.
• Submit reports from client visits, conferences attended and any other sales activities.
Requirements
• Strong scientific knowledge and background with experience in preclinical drug discovery and development
• 2-4 years working experience in a business development role in drug discovery and development is preferred.
• Ambitious with a desire and drive to actively participate in further developing a successful business in a highly competitive environment.
• Thorough understanding of Pharmaceutical and Biotech drug discovery process
• Strong understanding of Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and CRO marketplace
• Strong understanding of the CRO business from a drug discovery perspective
• A network of relevant contacts within the industry that would provide access to relevant decision makers.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in international and multicultural environments.
• Ability to travel for extended periods of time.
• Team player with strong analytical and time management skills.
• Strong English speaking and writing skills.
• Excellent social, communication, influencing and presentational skills.
