About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Marketing Consultant for Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB). This role will manage performance-based media campaigns and drive new customer acquisitions at scale.
The Lead Marketer reports to the Director of Paid Media, and will be the SME in paid search, managing efficient campaigns that drive incremental Small Business checking and savings accounts against aggressive ROAS goals.
The candidate will be responsible for developing campaign strategy and media forecasts and working with internal and external (third party media agency) partners to activate, manage, and optimize campaigns to achieve volume and efficiency goals.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working in search platforms, and in managing multiple campaigns and budgets. The candidate will work with a cross-functional team on monthly forecasting, reporting, and cross-channel strategy.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead complex initiatives and work across functional teams to strategize, plan and ensure execution of a variety of marketing, development strategies and programs with broad impact
- Collaborate and consult with cross enterprise, cross lines of business, vendor relationships and cross functional resources on highly complex initiatives to achieve marketing deliverables
- Serve as the SME in performance media, standing up new processes and campaigns
- Lead relationships with cross functional groups, business partners, and external vendors
- Collaborate closely with agency partners, ensuring campaigns meet growth and efficiency goals
- Manage the strategy, execution, and performance of campaigns through the prospect life-cycle
- Create monthly volume/CPA forecasts; report on actuals vs. forecast, and drivers of discrepancies
- Lead performance media briefings, kick-off meetings with the agency, forecasting, campaign optimization, and reporting
- Partner with the cross-functional media team to contribute to a cohesive full-funnel media plan
- Support audit requirements to document controls, QA processes, and risk mitigation procedures
- Accountable for monthly performance media budgets, and volume
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms (i.e. Mobile or Social Media) experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of digital media and paid search platform experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of hands-on paid search experience at an agency or marketer with prospect acquisition goals, preferably in the financial services category
- Deep understanding of search engine (SA360, Bing/Yahoo) capabilities, optimization levers, tagging, bid strategies, etc.
- Deep understanding of tagging and conversion tracking
- Solid understanding of SEO, and the interplay between paid search and organic listings
- Expertise in applying strategic thinking to complex performance campaigns, with demonstrable track record of achieving campaign KPIs
- 2+ years of experience working with 1st, 2nd, 3rd party data sets
- Strong data analysis abilities, working with large data sets to gain actionable insights
- Ability to identify and evaluate performance trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution and/or recommendations
- Previous experience managing advertising agency relationships
- Ability to translate complex concepts into simplified solutions in an understandable manner to multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders
- Excellent presentation skills and communicator
- BA (Bachelor of Arts) or equivalent with an emphasis on marketing, business, or coursework of a quantitative nature; preferably a degree in Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or Statistics
