Senior Project Manager – Automated Risk Modelling
Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Senior Project Manager with experience with Risk Modelling Implementation initiatives to place at our client, a top 5 bank.
Client: Big Five Bank - Commercial Banking
Contract: 1 Year Contract
Start Date: ASAP – 2-3 Weeks from Offer Date. Late Sept to Early October 2024.
Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: 1-2 Days in office downtown Toronto.
Project: Automated Risk Modelling Project
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE:
Risk Modelling implementation experience
Handled complex data and analytics projects, risk modeling projects, and credit adjudication (preferably commercial credit) process improvement projects.
Advisory:
- Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.
- Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives. Assists in the development of strategic plans.
- Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
- Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
- May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
- Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
- Relationship Management
- Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.
Data Analytics:
- Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
Comms/Change Management:
- Socializes change management plans with stakeholders and consistently measures project effectiveness and adoption
Operational Management:
- Directs projects often within one business group involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Exercises direct accountability for projects with up to 25 team members.
- Negotiates contracts with external vendors (in consultation with Strategic Sourcing) to ensure receipt of specific resources and materials.
- Manages overall project budget
- Directs complex initiatives typically involving multiple business units.
- Exercises direct accountability for projects with up to 50 team members
- Negotiates complex contracts with external vendors (in consultation with Strategic Sourcing) to ensure receipt of specific resources and materials
- Takes ownership of the project from cradle to grave and ensures all project artifacts are completed.
Qualifications:
- Typically, 7+ years of relevant experience and/or certification in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project management experience – 6 to 8 years.
- Valid PMP designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is an asset.
