Our client, an established employer in the GTA is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join their team.
This role will be key in deployment of POS (Point of Sale) systems within their branches and will focus on ensuring the smooth coordination of POS projects and managing vendor relationships.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in POS, retail operations, vendor management, and is adept at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
This is a 1 year contract with potential to extend and hybrid 2-3 days a week in Northern GTA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of POS system implementations across multiple retail locations.
- Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and finance to ensure a seamless deployment process
- Manage relationships with external vendors responsible for the supply, installation, and maintenance of POS systems.
- Oversee vendor contracts, SLAs, and performance metrics to ensure service quality and compliance.
- Coordinate communication between vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.
- Provide support for go-live activities and ensure any post-deployment issues are addressed promptly.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk logs.
- Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on progress, risks, and key issues.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator, with a focus on POS system implementation and deployment in retail environments.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, preferably with experience working with or within retail companies.
- Extensive experience in managing external vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring vendor performance.
- Familiarity with POS systems, hardware, and software integration. Experience with troubleshooting technical issues related to POS deployments is a plus.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or Trello).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to address issues quickly and efficiently,
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
