Our team brings decades of experience from top-tier companies like Asana, PayPal, Affirm, Google, Adobe, Twilio, and eBay, as well as startups. We are looking to bring on our next critical team member in this role. As a remote-first company, we offer flexibility, with occasional in-person days in San Francisco. Ideally, you are based in the greater Bay Area, providing the option for face-to-face collaboration as needed.
The Opportunity
As StackPack’s second product hire, you'll take on a critical role in shaping and delivering a new product line. This high-impact position demands both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You’ll lead efforts in customer discovery, competitor analysis, solution ideation, and feasibility & risk assessments, guiding the product through iterative development to find product-market fit. While you’ll have support at every stage, your initiative and leadership skills are essential in turning this vision into reality.
What You'll Do
- Competitor Research: Analyze competitors' products and market trends to identify gaps and opportunities. Use this knowledge to differentiate our product and create a competitive advantage.
- Customer Discovery: Conduct in-depth research to understand the pain points, needs, and preferences of potential users. Gather insights through interviews, surveys, and user testing to inform product features and functionality.
- Product Strategy Development: Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to define the product’s vision, objectives, and roadmap. Ensure that the product aligns with business goals and market demands.
- Feasibility Analysis: Work with engineering, design, and business teams to evaluate technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and resource requirements. Adjust the scope and timeline as necessary based on this analysis.
- Iterative Development: Employ agile and shape-up methodologies to develop the product in iterations. Coordinate sprints, gather feedback, and make continuous improvements to the product during its development cycle.
- Process Optimization: Implement and optimize product processes as we scale, including gathering and analyzing customer feedback, instrumenting product metrics, enabling the sales team, and optimizing build cycle planning and execution.
Skills You'll Bring
- 4+ years of relevant experience in product management, preferably in B2B
- Experience in a startup environment, or on a greenfield project
- Bonus points for experience in vendor management, workflow tools, or AI
- Proven ability to listen to customers’ needs and translate into successful product solutions
- Comfortable driving programs and solutions without heavy oversight
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make informed, autonomous decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Adept at communicating with internal stakeholders, partners, customers, and advisors
