The ideal candidate forms strong cross-functional working relationships and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Responsibilities
Determines and defines project scope and objectives; predicts resources needed to accomplish objectives and manages all resources in an effective and efficient manner.
· Prepares budget based on scope of work and resource requirements; tracks project costs to meet budget.
· Develops and manages detailed project schedules and work plans.
· Provides project updates to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress on a consistent basis.
· Manages contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
· Utilizes industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution.
· Measures project performance to identify areas for improvement, coordinating with cross-discipline team members to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
· Meets with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
· Drives project progress by leading cross-functional teams and/or consultants, identifying opportunities, overcoming obstacles/risks, developing strategic recommendations, and ensuring deliverables are optimally executed.
· Develops strong working relationships with key stakeholders to achieve results.
· Creates meeting content and presentations, including updates to senior business leaders; creates effective/impactful presentations that summarize complex ideas and recommendations.
· Submits project deliverables and ensures they adhere to quality standards; adheres to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary.
· Prepares status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
· Establishes effective project communication plans and ensures they are fully executed.
· Coordinates the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of processes/systems to the clients.
· Identifies and develops new opportunities.
· Obtains customer acceptance of project deliverables; manages customer satisfaction within the project transition period.
· Conducts post-project evaluation and identifies successful and unsuccessful project elements.
· May be called upon to supervise a business or its functional managers on an interim basis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Ability to speak additional language(s) a plus (i.e. German, French, Spanish)
- PMP Certificate a plus
