Summary
We have an opportunity for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk for up to 6 month contract located in Goleta, CA. Responsible for ensuring materials are received from proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Check incoming product quality for incoming and outgoing product shipments
- Load/unloading delivery trucks
- Checking incoming shipments against product invoices
- Organizing and storing shipments until they receive outgoing order requests
- Notify management, program managers, Production or ME’s when parts do not arrive on time
- Properly account for the location of incoming goods
- Assure no damaged items are sent or received
- Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list
- Update records as products are received and added to the inventory
- Package products for return to vendors and filling out any paperwork necessary
- Validate product quantities against invoices or purchase orders
- Work with Quality to validate incoming/outgoing Calibrated Tools
- Maintain records in accordance with audit regulations (AS9100 knowledge a plus)
- Must be able to work Mon-Fri 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
Ideal Experience
- Previous import/export experience a plus
- 4 or more years of warehouse and/or receiving experience.
- 3 years experience with an ERP system
- Previous experience with International Shipping.
- 3 years’ experience using Office 365 (Excel knowledge a plus)
- Forklift certified
- US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations
Desired Skills
- Experience in AS9100 audits a plus
- Work independently or part of a team
- Works with Programs to prioritize what needs to get through the receiving process.
