Position Overview: We've been in operation for 25+ years completing a variety of heavy civil and site work projects. We have presences in three states and are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. The Heavy Civil Superintendent will be responsible for the on-site management and coordination of the heavy civil work on various projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing project safety, quality, schedules, cost control, subcontractor relationships, and other project management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct, review, and manage the progress of the heavy civil work on the project, ensuring that quality and safety requirements are met.
- Develop, maintain, monitor, and update the project budgets, schedules, and cost control.
- Monitor the progress of the work, check the quality of the work for conformance with the project requirements.
- Ensure that the work complies with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and project specifications.
- Establish and maintain effective subcontractor relationships, ensuring the timely completion of the work.
- Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with the project safety plans and the company's safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction.
- Extensive experience in site work, earthwork, and grading.
- Experience in coordinating and managing multiple projects and an understanding of construction scheduling.
- Proven experience in managing subcontractor relationships.
