A new seed stage investments of ours in the marketing tech space, is building a system of record that teams can use to understand and forecast the impact of their marketing efforts, as well as experiment with new ideas. As the first Marketer, you'll be responsible for driving incremental demos through a mix of organic and paid media channels. This role will collaborate with their amazing content team, sales team, and product team to execute fun, unique, and impactful campaigns. You will leverage your expertise in marketing and data-driven decision-making.
We’re biased, but this role is going to be a lot of fun. You’ll market to CMOs and CFOs, work closely with their CEO (a former VP of Marketing) and have full freedom to shape and execute your strategy with plenty of support from the founders.
Founding Team:
The founders have strong backgrounds in product, engineering, and marketing and hail from companies like Dropbox, Bill and Pilot. The team has been very intentional about company culture and foundation. They’ve been working together for almost a decade.
Hybrid Work Setup:
The role is 3-5 days a week from their office in Burlingame, CA (moving to SF soon). They thrive on in-person collaboration, but they also want to strike the right balance and give everyone the flexibility they need.
Responsibilities:
- Own growth and demand gen strategy. Set the team’s objectives to support company-wide goals, own the budget, and create plans to maximize the ROI on our marketing budget.
- Design and own marketing campaigns via a variety of acquisition channels, including digital events, trade shows, open source communities, and product-led growth.
- Take a data-driven approach to constructing email, nurture, paid ads, and digital event programs.
- Build and manage our marketing tech stack (marketing automation, CMS, SEO, SEM, Social).
Requirements:
- Ideally 2+ years of experience marketing SaaS products to CMO and/or CFO audiences
- Ability to work effectively in a startup environment, collaborate across functions to align stakeholders, and execute quickly with business partners.
