As a Senior Billing Specialist, you will support the E-Billing and Rates Manager and team with client electronic billing platform changes and on-boarding. You'll handle billing requirements for partners, secretaries, and clients, ensuring accurate and timely entry into the billing system while maintaining exceptional customer service

Responsibilities:

Assist the Billing Administrator with client setup, timekeeper entry, diversity submissions, and rate updates in e-billing platforms.
Help troubleshoot e-billing issues for the Billing Department.
Support the team with overflow e-billing invoice submissions.
Order, prepare, and distribute pre-bills for assigned accounts.
Manage e-billing processes, implement system changes, and maintain accurate billing codes.
Prepare and finalize invoices, assist with complex bills, and handle billing-related issues with partners.
Maintain and follow up on unallocated funds, reprint invoices, and produce ad hoc reports.
Assist with billing overflow and update billing addresses and payer information as needed.
Coordinate special client billing requests and rate arrangements with relevant teams.
Respond to Client Accounting emails and help line calls promptly.
Assist with client and attorney analyses, revised invoice balances, and audit report preparation.
Maintain client/matter information and collaborate with collection coordinators and the Conflicts Department.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in a law firm
Proficiency with financial/billing software; experience with Aderant Expert preferred.
Experience with electronic billing on various e-billing platforms; eBillingHub experience preferred.
Ability to adhere to and apply billing department policies and procedures.
Strong communication skills to interact professionally and tactfully with all levels of the firm.
Excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to manage a high volume of tasks with attention to detail and effective prioritization.
Proficiency in MS Office, with strong knowledge of Excel preferred.
