Payroll and Accounting Specialist job details include:
Schedule: 8am - 5pm
Pay rate: $23 - $30/hr.
Responsibilities:
This role involves reviewing and verifying timecard transactions, ensuring accuracy in payroll data, and preparing it for upload to the ADP Workforce Now system. Responsibilities include communicating with supervisors, auditing payroll records, and processing garnishments and final checks. The position also entails troubleshooting payroll system errors, answering employee payroll inquiries, and assisting with accounts payable or receivable tasks, such as validating invoices and resolving discrepancies. General office duties, including filing and responding to inquiries, are also required, alongside ensuring punctuality and adherence to company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum five years of accounting experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of California pay labor laws.
- Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now and using ERP/MRP system.
