Job Title: CEO - Stealth Fintech/Proptech Startup
Location: Remote/Hybrid (Must be in Bay Area, Salt Lake City Area, or West Coast)
Company Overview: A unique opportunity to lead a promising SaaS fintech startup with a proptech element at a pivotal growth stage. Founded by an experienced executive and founder, the company has been self-funded for the past 15 months and has developed a working product currently in beta with strategic partners. Recently, a significant partnership agreement has been signed, presenting an exciting growth trajectory for the company. Now, the founder is looking to bring in a high-energy, full-time CEO to drive scaling, fundraising, and company expansion.
Role Overview: As CEO, you will play a critical role in taking the company from its early product-market fit stage to rapid growth. This is an ideal role for a motivated and passionate leader ready to dedicate 100% of their time to building a fintech startup with an established foundation. You will work closely with the founder, the product team, and existing partners to drive the go-to-market strategy, establish key partnerships, raise funding, and propel the company forward. Given the company's current stage, compensation will be heavily equity-based, transitioning to market-level salary post-seed funding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Vision: Provide visionary leadership and direction, driving the company towards its growth milestones and strategic objectives.
- Business Development & Sales: Lead and expand go-to-market efforts, driving revenue through new partnerships, customer acquisition, and sales strategies.
- Fundraising & Investor Relations: Develop a compelling narrative for the company, lead the seed round fundraising process, and establish strong relationships with investors.
- Growth & Scaling: Develop and execute strategies to scale the business, leveraging new and existing partnerships and driving overall company performance.
- Team Development: Build and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative, goal-oriented culture.
- Market Expansion: Identify opportunities for market penetration and growth, leveraging product strengths to expand into new verticals and geographic markets.
Qualifications:
- Fintech Expertise: Proven experience within the fintech industry, understanding of market dynamics, regulations, and opportunities.
- Partnership and Sales: Experience working with and selling to banking or financial partners to build strategic alliances and drive revenue growth.
- Sales & Go-to-Market Skills: Strong experience in sales, business development, and go-to-market strategies with a focus on revenue growth.
- Fundraising Experience or Willingness: Experience or willingness to lead seed-stage fundraising efforts, with an understanding of investor relations.
- High-Energy, Entrepreneurial Spirit: Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with passion, resilience, and an execution mindset.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Product Management Experience: Background in product management, particularly in fintech or proptech.
- Technical Collaboration: Ability to work closely with engineering teams to refine and evolve the product.
- Proptech Experience: Understanding or experience in the proptech space is a plus.
Compensation:
- Equity-Based Compensation: The role will initially be compensated with a significant equity stake, with a stipend until the completion of a seed round.
